When do we need That..... that construction & when it's not required?

Hi buan15,

My reply is not specific to this question, but it's important to recognize that we aren't looking at an absolute rule in such cases. That is, if we start with a that, we never require another that after the and. However, generally speaking, the longer the construction, the more likely the reader is to lose track of what the author is looking to do with the and.

In other words, including an element that helps the reader keep track of the parallel elements in a list is a good (but not necessary) thing.
