It is generally a short, situational case study to be done impromptu. It is based on a business situation, but nothing that would require a specific business background. You are usually provided around 20 minutes to work on the case and email your analysis to them.
It's a simple passage/ story where you are asked to evaluate the decisions taken take decisions. Format of case study presentation doesn't matter much but what's important is analytical thinking and considering all the aspects related to the decision.
