However, I got a 610 on GMAT; I was shortlisted for the interview before giving my GMAT.

Can I expect an offer?

Lowest GMAT score to get offer letter I have seen on this thread is of 630..... Although 630, 670 and above people should definitely aim for IIM A B C L I K ISB. I don't know why they have applied for SP Jain just to get a feel good factor I guess, because real competition lies for IIM BLACKI ISB.

My cousin got 700 on GMAT this time and last year 650. He never applied for SP Jain. Although he converted IIM L I last year and this year he is aiming for IIM A B C.

Most probably that would be the case,as I know it is a backup college for most of mba aspirant. I know it's a decent college but anyone beyond 680 score and a decent profile would definetly already be aiming for blacki and isb side by side for sure.

600 and above scores can convert IIM BLACKI XLRI etc colleges after that SP Jain comes 😑😑

IIM Shillong PGPEX Median CTC is 26 lpa, average CTC is 25.5 lpa and Highest CTC is 44 lpa but it is written that placement is a student driven activity. What does that mean ??

It means you will have a student driven placement committee which will take all the decisions and approach companies, complete all the procedures and formalities to make sure that your batch gets placed. It will be done under placement committee supervisor(s) which is usually professor(S)of the college. While it can be college driven if major placement activities are arranged and completed from college end. I do not think it make much of a difference if it's college or student driven as you will eventually have the full support of college. If I am not wrong iima and many iims have student driven placement cells.

I think so, one year programs are different you do not have mass recruitment happening here. Both has some pros and cons. Student driven gives you more flexibility and transparency in the process. While college driven takes away one additional Baggage from you. You see companies may not pay heed to whether its a student driven or college driven activity. So both is equally good in my sense.

SPJIMR PGPM has one advantage that its International Immersion is with INSEAD and not even the 2 year MBA of SPJIMR has INSEAD

the person pursuing PGPM at SPJIMR might get an MBA degree from INSEAD too along with PGPM certificate depending on the type of International Immersion. The International Immersions are of two types, one with Dual Degree and one without dual degree.

I would agree on part that international immersion are similar to executive programmes conducted at top b schools across globe. In India they are known as mdp. For Europe these courses range from 2000 to 5000 euros for period of 1 to 5 weeks. Though it is not entirely a deal breaker we should see that how many of us would go separately to have these in future. So i would consider insead international immersion certainly as an added advantage, as you may learn more when you go with your batch mates.

But why you want to waste/throw away money like that for a certificate program? Do something meaningful in life or invest that money somewhere else.
If you are really after Harvard tag then get 750+ on GMAT and pursue real MBA.
