trahul, that is anyone's guess and i really don't think it matters. a better assessment is to compare how st. gallen stacks up regionally against its peers (mannheim, hhl leipzig, ESMT, WHU Koblenz, etc.) over the next 5 years. so far, st. gallen appears to be in the lead.

In my opinion, the repuation of HSG St. Gallen is without its MBA programme probably the most regognized in German speaking countries and may be compared to its English counterpart LSE. Therefore you can bet that St. Gallen MBA will take the lead in the next years.
The only thing that prevents me from applying is that I am not sure if the programme (not the brand) itself has become strong enough to be compared to its English rivals (Cambridge, Oxford, Cranfield, ...).

I still haven't decided on whether I should enroll. I've applied to a couple of US schools and want to make a decision by the end of February. If I don't get an interview to Columbia or HBS by mid-February, I will probably enroll at St. Gallen. I have family in Switzerland and they all speak very highly of the University but my biggest hesitation is that I believe (and I stress that I have no insider knowledge on this) that the recruiting is mainly for the general student body and not specific to MBA's. Therefore, I believe that companies may be looking for bilingual employees which will put me at a disadvantage.
I do think that the MBA program will be well received in rankings eventually, but by the time they come out I'll be in my post-MBA career so I'm not too concerned about them.
