Hi sidhu22,

A 500 is a solid initial CAT score (the Average Score on the Official GMAT hovers around 550 most years). That having been said, many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so if your Study Plan will limit you to just 2.5 months, then there might be a limit to how much you can improve in that time.

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) Going forward, how many hours do you plan to study each week?
2) Do you have access to any other study materials besides the books that you mentioned?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

taking an official mock exam (I just went into it without any knowledge how it works) and got a 500 (Verbal 31 Quant 28).

Here's a person who got a Verbal 31 on their first Official attempt. Got a V40 on their second. They took a bit of tutoring (6 hours Verbal solving approach) and mention a variety of material and tips in the post you may find helpful.

Hi Sainath123, thanks for sharing. I think TTP trail sounds like a good idea to start with.

rich:

Studies:
1) Going forward, how many hours do you plan to study each week?
- I m have a ton of time until December, I could basically max out each day with 8 hours of learning.
2) Do you have access to any other study materials besides the books that you mentioned?
- As mentioned above, the TTP course sounds good to me to start with. I ll start the trail today.
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
- I m looking to apply for a Masters in Finance most likely in London, that's why I m aiming for a 700.

Thanks for your help! :)

Hi sidhu22.

If you have any questions as you proceed through the trial, please feel free to reach out to the TTP team via the in-course chat.

Also, while preparing for GMAT quant is relatively straightforward, to effectively prepare for GMAT verbal, you need to understand some key things that you may not be aware of. So, I recommend reading the following post before you proceed with your verbal prep.

How to Score High on GMAT Verbal
