Is there anyone on this board who is a current or past Stanford MBA/MA Education student? Can you discuss your experience and the rigor of your program? Were you able to back out if you decided that education was not for you or did you have to complete the MA degree? How was your social life? Did you get to expand your network? I am asking here, because Stanford's site does not contain any testimonial for joint MBA/MA Education students.
Thanks.

A former client of mine went through this at Stanford and had a great time. The social life was fantastic (I actually visited him while he was there to witness it in person) because he had two different networks to take advantage of. The education piece was smaller and less defined than the broader GSB network, but he really enjoyed his experience. I have not heard of anyone backing out as usually once a student is enrolled they enjoy it and want to continue. Good luck!

There are a lot of opportunities actually. It really depends what interests you. Coming from GSB your recruiting pipeline will be quite strong. My client happens to not work in education right, but many do. There are some who end up starting or running charter schools, redesigning education in developing regions or perhaps work with companies to design global training platforms. Those are the most directly applicable roles just to give you a few ideas.
