Dear all,
getting into one of the top 3 business schools (Harvard, Wharton, Stanford) is my dream and I would like to get in as soon as possible.
I started my career in April at a Tier3 management consulting firm in Western Europe, but trying to switch to MBB/Tier2 right now.
In parallel, I am the co-founder and president of an organization in the town I am living, with the aim of giving pupils from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds better prespectives. We will officially launch it in late November though due to some bureaucratic issues.
Furthermore, I have Bachelor's degree in engineering from a Top-Tier Western European university and a Master's degree in engineering from MIT. My GMAT score is 740 (July 2020).
My question is: should I start preparing my application now (e.g. re-try GMAT, reach out to potential recommenders, prepare essays etc.) so that I send them to the schools in April/May 2021, with the goal of starting my MBA in August/September 2022?
By the time I would start my MBA, I would have c.2.5 years of work experience. I know it sounds relatively little, but I definitely want to study in an MBA program as soon as I can (also for personal reasons).
P.S.: In case it is too early, I would even consider switching my career prospects completely and start studying for LSAT to get into a top law school instead (planning to leave my current firm in 5 months at most, regardless of whether I get offers of MBB/Tier2 by then, because the culture is simply horrible there). So, if I will have to wait >2 more years to apply for MBA, I'll most probably go to law school instead.
