Hello All ,
1] I am a heavy reader of the forum and have gone thru a lot of topics .
I am starting of with gmat prep this coming weekend
2] I come from engg background and have a MS in CS .
3] I am planning to take the mgmat course , but it doesn't start before December So i want to finish a math book and revise my concepts.
4] I have some time and can start with a book . The books that have come to mind are :
A] Kaplan math workbook
B] Gmat math bible
( i was searching thru the gmathacks website and came across 1800 questions for 250 $ or something . Has anyone bought this .
If the questions are good or the author is respectable i dont mind spending the money.
5] My plan is to do some math every day and finish the preliminary book soon , so i can practice some quant questions.
6] I am aware of OG and the real tests given by ETS . But i dont want to use up those right now.

your goal should be to get a guidebook that will teach your some concepts rather than questions. Learning from questions is significantly more limited.
Kind of like reading - takes a long time to figure out on your own, but once someone shows it to you, it is actually pretty simple.
get probably Kaplan Math Workbook (since you are starting a MGMAT course) and see where you get with that. Don't take more than 2 mins to solve questions in the practice sections there. Pay attention to these questions: which-one-to-start-first-manhattan-quans-or-kaplan-math-work-83184.html

I will get the kaplan gmat math workout book and go thru it and try to get my math basics done.
I havent yet registered for the manhatan gmat course yet . But i visit their site everyday ...... and think its only a matter of time before i take it .
