Stating other admission offers on application

Question

I am in the process of completing my application to Rotman at U of T. I have already been offered admission by Ivey and must accept by October 27th. Should I state this on my Rotman application? The main reason I want to is to ensure I get an answer before this date. It may also show them that I am considered a good applicant.

Any advice appreciated.

Bad Idea.

Each school takes pride in their own ability to pick candidates. Dont insult them by saying that another school picked you and so should they.

In fact, do not make any statements about your admission on the application. Gives them an incentive to simply ding you because they wont believe your Why this School? essay.

What you can do is politely call up admissions, explain how you would love to come to U of T, but would like to know if they can help you get an expedited decision. This needs to be done with a lot of tact and even then there is no guarantee that U of T will not be offended.

Some schools ask where else you have applied or going to apply? 
Should we come out honestly and tell where all we are applying or just mention one more school or is it better not to mention any school?

Haas asks that question, and knowing how Haas is very sensitive to people choosing Stanford over them, I chose not to answer the question (since it wasn't required).

Dont you think leaving it blank will affect? I think schools very well know that almost all the applicants apply to more than one school (at least 2) . Telling the schools that we are applying only to them is not a good idea i think.

well, the reasons I left it blank were because:

1. They said it was optional
2. They said it was ONLY used for demographics/statistical purposes

So there is no reason why they should fault me for not filling that out. I'm not lying to them saying I'm not applying to any other school. I'm just following the instructions and "opting" out.
