Hi I am very new for GMAT, only have rough knowledge. Currently i am interned in Shanghai, and coming to India soon to start preparation for GMAT. I am pursuing MSc in Marketing Management from Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania and only Master Thesis is pending which will be finished in May 2012 and get the degree. Later on, i want to study PhD Marketing in USA or in Europe. I am planning to study 1-2 months for GMAT and give exam in December 2011 or January 2012. I have not done much research which business schools to apply yet. Is it possible for me to give GMAT before getting my Master's degree? Do i need to fill some information about the universities i am interested into before giving the exam?
Best Regards,

You can take GMAT. You don't need to complete your Masters first.
You will need to do some research before you take the test. You need to have a rough idea of the average GMAT scores of the last incoming batches in your desired schools. You might want to try and get more than the average and hence prepare accordingly (allot time and effort according to the requirement). Also, at the time of the test, you are asked to choose 5 schools and GMAC will send your scores to these schools free of cost. Later, if you wish to send your score to some other school, they will charge.
