Steve started with \$1000 in his account and on January 1st began depositing \$100 per month into his account for a certain numbers of months, after which he started making monthly \$50 withdrawals until December 1st. If he made no other deposits or withdrawals during this time, did he begin withdrawing money from his account prior to September 1st?

(1) Steve's account balance was less than \$1850 on October 1st.
(2) Steve's account balance was greater than \$1500 on July 1st.

(1) Not suff. The money could have withdrawn from Sept or any other month before sept.

i. If the money started to withdrew from sept = 1000 + 8x100 - 50 = 1750, which is < 1850.
ii. If the money started to withdrew from any other month before sept = [1000 + (n x 100) - (k x 50)], which is obviously < 1850. NSF

(2) Steve's account balance was greater than \$1500 on July 1st :- This is clearly not suff as it is too vauge.
NSF.

Togather: Also NSF. So E.

i have a doubt evaluating the question..

both the statements talk abt the balances left in the account.
is that balance of the account before or after the transaction that he makes ?

anyone ?
shud it be assumed that the balance given is after the transaction happens ?

IMO E.
Getting two equations:
3x>=17; 3x<=26; More than one solutions. X-# of months made deposit.
