Hi all,
I needed some advice on how to best utilize the last 29 days before my 3rd attempt at GMAT. I've been preparing for a while and used multiple courses/books for my prior attempts last year.
Currently, I am preparing using GMATClubTests for Quant and using Souvik's material for Verbal practice. I've completed all OGs and VR for Verbal. I used all GMAT Prep CATS (1-6) last year for my prior 2 attempts, so even though I don't remember all the questions I frequently come across questions that I do remember (especially CR and Quant) when I am giving GMAT Prep CATS. In addition, since I am using Souvik's all GMAT Prep material, some EP1 and EP2 questions already are there. This is inflating my scores in GMAT Prep and I can't think of any way to get an estimate of my current level in GMAT. My last 2 mocks scores are (given a few weeks back):
GMAT Prep 3(680, Q49, V33) and GMAT Prep 1(750, Q50, V40)
I need to build stamina as I ran out of time on both of these mocks in both Verbal and Quant sections and figure out my weak areas.. So,
#1: Does it make sense to use Veritas or Manhattan mocks at this stage? I see mixed reviews of these mocks and I want to focus on only official material as much as possible but is it a good strategy to use these non official mocks to build stamina, estimate current level, and pin point weak areas. I feel like giving these no official mocks would waste time if the Verbal questions are not representative and that time can be spent on solving official verbal questions. But I'd like to hear what the experts think?
OR
#2 - Avoid non official CATS and keep repeating GMAT Prep mocks to build stamina. The issue with this is I won't know my current level and would get an inflated score most of the times. Also, I am not too sure if these will help me figure out my weak areas.
I've been maintaining VERY detailed error logs of all sections this time. So solving Souvik's material and
GMAT Club Tests is giving me insights into my weak areas.
I am sure this is common problem for retakers. Please advise!
Thanks for your help!
