Hi,

Yesterday I got unconditional offer from Strathclyde business school for Fall 2013 MBA. But I am curious to know about its placement statistics considering current alterations in UK visa process.

can anyone please help me..

Hi GVANR

I am a current student of Strathclyde MBA.

97% of the students got placed last year within the first 3 months. I do not have the statistics for how many are placed in Europe/UK. My hunch is 25 out of 60.

I hope you know that the uni system in UK is not like in India. Companies DO NOT come and recruit from the unis. However, the school does provide you with tools to get yourself recruited.

Having said that with new visa regulations in place it is tough to find jobs in the UK since most employers prefer to employ local graduates rather than sponsor a visa. However, having said that it is not impossible to find a job if you are a right fit for the role.

Hi,

It is advisable not to join the MBA in strath because i have a friend who has completed his MBA 1 yr back and has come back to india without getting any job and the job market is very worse currently in Europe compared to india and USA.
My friend took a loan of 15 lakhs and as he dint get a job now he is working in india for 6 lakhs. Europe is not a preferred destination to do MBA at present economic situation if at all it is frm Top 10 schools. If u r seeing for ROI then pls i wud suggest u not to join there

Hi,
Was ur frnd in glasgow ? Bcoz I had word with one of alumni nd he told they had 97% campus placement for full time MBA. He also told its not that difficult to get a job for MBA over there.
Can you please explain a bit more info in this.
