Hey I'm here :-D

I don't agree that Audioslave is from the "old school" but I like them. I like also Metallica (until the black album), Rainbow, Deep Purple, Blind Guardian, and others. I used to be a Pantera and Sepultura kind of person, right now only in very aggressive times :lol:

Like also Jazz/Blues/Soul and Classical music. I've even explored my musical influence in all my applications, let's see if it works.

I am an old school funk fanatic, myself. EWF, Stevie Wonder, Sly and the Family Stone...more recently, Prince. Caught the Stevie Wonder concert at the Garden a few weeks ago - it was INCREDIBLE, in and of itself, and then the band went into "Superstition" and Prince strolled out on stage to play a few guitar licks. Heaven!

@Kwam: Awesome! Yeah, I know Audioslave is not technically 'old-school', but then again, their music is really what Rock is all about. So, while chronologically new, in spirit, I still think they are old-school!

To Cookie: Ian's Inspiration is ok. But it would be great to find smth that can change the mood several times (like that swanky's long mix). The track should be like jumps and falls, falls and jumps. It must be dynamic :) Guys, pls make my day with some great mix :!: :)

try Armin Van Buuren - Blue Fear (this def changes mood several times)
This is one of my fav trance songs that i actually didnt like at first.
Btw: There are many versions of this song, some are ok and some arent that great.

The following is good IMO, but it will bore you if you're not that big into trance
Deadmau5 - not exactly

You like depeche Mode? try the following:
David Guetta - The World Is Mine (Feat Jd Davis)

i also reccommend Armin Van Buuren - State of Trance Set #312 (1 hour 42 min) I listened to this one repeadly while doing my chicago essays.

Thanks for the heads up about Armin, this sh!t is awesome. I'm listening to episode 300 and another from 2005, both are great. Usually I can't listen to music while working because it distracts me, but this is perfect mood music and gets me in the right mode. I can't believe I am going to say this... but it makes editing essays bearable!

I couldn't find #312 though, did you get it off of torrents?

I dont think my musical tastes could be more different than all of you guys. I do like old school rock but when I am stressing out I dont listen to pop-motivational music, I listen to the most angry stuff possible...but thats just me.

At least my wife has similar music tastes or else that would be bad.

Guys,

Does anybody have the pain relieving remix for the brains. I am going crazy with listening to the same tracks, can't find smth good from the new mixes on the net :cry: I am actually downloading 200 Mb of Armin's state of trance #330 but there are still 3 hours left for completion... Please.... a single 5-6 minutes pain reliever.... :roll:
