Hi when I first began studying for GMAT I took a practice exam to get a baseline. I got 375, data insights 65, quant 65, verbal 76. I've been studying for almost two months now. My math skills are low. In HS I did math but only basic algebra, and forgot a lot since then. I started by using TTP. On TTP I did the Intro to the Quant Section, Essential GMAT Quant Skills, and started the Linear and Quadratic Equations. The content was getting too difficult for me, because my basics were weak. I switched to
Manhattan Prep books: Foundations of Math, All the Quant, and All the Verbal. I'm almost done with Foundations of Math book and found it super helpful. I started All the Quant book but again was getting overwhelmed. My strength is in verbal and with some studying I know I'll improve that enough to do well. On TTP I'm getting 65%-75% on medium quizzes (Quant) and that is the same with the Foundations of Math book drills. I just took a quiz on TTP with easy and medium questions and got 80% (quant). With hard questions its more like 60% but my husband helped me. My timing is also 2-3 longer than it will need to be on test day. Some concepts I understand but then forget the next day when I go to the next chapter. Other concepts I'm not fully comprehending. I was hoping to take the GMAT in November but realizing I might need to push back the date if I'm not ready. My hope is to get into an MBA progam in Fall 2025. I'm studying between 4-6 hours a day. The TTP says medium level should be scoring 70% is that right? It seems low. My goal is to get a good score on GMAT. Is it realistic to be ready by Nov or Dec to take the real test? Also any study tips? Any advice is helpful.
