How about your current English skills level? If you have low English skills level, it is impossible to improve your Verbal score.
You should take a GMAT preparation course, and build a study plan, then stick firmly to it.

Good at English. As I said in the post, I did take a prep course and have all the basics cleared. I don't understand what I should do to improve my score to 730.

I know the concepts, the formulas and that stuff. How do I get to 730 from here. Very frustrated right now and would be very grateful to get some actionable insights.

Consider including a study buddy in your prep. May provide some fresh insight.

How to score high on the GMAT. Why solving approach is important.

Hi KrishnaLohia22.

Much of what you need to do to get to 730 from here is master one topic at a time by practicing effectively.

For some insights into how to practice for the GMAT for best results, see this post.

Hi, since your scores are less in verbal even after revising all the concepts, i will advise you to enroll in 1 month e-Gmat course as their verbal course is amazing, specially sentence correction for non-natives.

Hi KrishnaLohia22

I am sorry to hear that you did not score well in your mocks despite putting in a lot of time and effort into your prep. I understand that it can very frustrating, but I can assure you that with the right methods and diligence, you can absolutely improve upon this score.

To help you with your improvement plan, I have recorded a video for you. Please find it below.

Krishnalohia22 - Personalised Video - Watch Video

Here is the summary of the video:

  1. Your current scores clearly indicate you have conceptual and skill gaps that you must improve before moving to practicing questions. GMAT is a test of ability and just solving a lot of questions and mocks aren’t going to help you a lot if your ability (your skills) needs improvement.
  2. The current approach of solving questions is not working for you and you need to fix that. Here are some approaches that can help you in different sub-sections
    1. Meaning-based approach in SC
    2. Pre-thinking in CR
    3. Reading Strategies in RC
    4. Process skills in Quant
  3. You need to have a customized improvement plan that is based on your strengths and weaknesses and that presents clear milestones that enable you to track your improvement. Here is the link for the Sigma-X mock test (as mentioned in my video), it will help you identify your current strengths and weaknesses basis which you can create your own Personalised Study Plan.
  4. Subsequent mocks should be taken only after Test-readiness.

Here are a couple of success stories that I believe will be very helpful to you.

To have a One-on-one Strategy session with once of our strategy experts, please write to us at [email protected] (or send me a DM). The session will help you build an improvement plan and provide you more clarity on the execution of the plan.

Hope this helps.
