Hi. Welcome to GMAT Club.
I’ll give you some unsolicited advice and you’re welcome to use it how you wish.
First of all I guess I would say that everyone has their path. We all have different situation in different strengths in different challenges .
I would recommend to you not spending 6 to 9 months studying. Many reasons why it’s a bad idea. I know it may be or may seem like the only way but it’s a really tricky option. Let me ask you this, do you remember anything from 609 months ago? I don’t 😂
My recommendation to you would be to try to condense it as much as you can because GMAT is based on the number of nuance and subtle rules that you will not be able to keep in your mind without constantly refreshing and if you have to constantly refresh then the amount of time you will actually spend on learning new material will decrease with every day and eventually 90% of your time will be spent on refreshing and 10% of learning new things. So I would really really encourage you not spending a long time studying.
If you have to spend a long time studying, I highly recommend that you make your own notes that you review from time to time and that you can refer to leader specifically commenting on traps and problems and mistakes and things like that
And in terms of the best course, there are a few things to consider and if you are taking your test in the spring, there’s a good chance you will be taking the new GMAT focus edition which is in someways better and easier because it does not contain sentence correction and it does not contain geometry but it does have some annoying integrated reasoning questions which I let’s just say annoying.
So if you are going to take the test in the spring, again you don’t need to study sentence correction and geometry.
If you intend to start now, I think the best choice for you will be in
Magoosh because it’s valid for one year. It’s the cheapest option and if you are going to take a long time that’s the one you can use. If you are going to do it more intensively that it’s worth looking at the other course options.
Sorry I’m rambling a little bit. The bottom line is I recommend compacting your prep into a four month or three month sprint. Are you can avoid studying some material if you’re taking the text test next spring and finally for this long of a stretch
Magoosh is the best option 😇
