Q: Students in class x & y completed a test. is the score range in class x less than 30?

1. score range in class y is less than 30
2. score range of the 2 classes is less than 25

Edited: b is replaced by y.

did you get the question correcytly?

1: is that b correcty or it is y?
if it is y, not suff.

2: suff. if the range of two classes is less than 25, neither class can have a range > 25.
so suff...

I was also puzzled with the "b" inserted in the first statement. Nonetheless GMATTiger is correct the correct answer is B.
