Hi All,
I wanted to have a discussion around how to take the score up notch from 655 to 705+. I’m really struggling to make any improvement from 655 onwards.
If anyone is interested in having a discussion on this then please respond to this message and we’ll connect.
Together we could brainstorm, suggest some ideas and figure out what seems to work.
Also, if someone is preparing from Pune, India and looking for a study buddy then also please react to this message coz sometimes it gets boring to study alone and you can’t even discuss this with your office friends :)

@muqeet - Since you’re already at a solid 655, you likely have decent performance across sections. Here are the three proven strategies:
Strategy 1: Perfect One Section

- Push your strongest section to 89-90 (97th-100th percentile)
- Maintain others at 82-84 each
Best if you already score 85th+ percentile in one area

Strategy 2: Excel in Two Sections

- Develop two sections to 85-87 each (90th-95th percentile)
- Keep third at 82-84
Good if you’re currently 75th+ percentile in two sections

Strategy 3: Balanced Approach

- Bring all sections to 84-86 consistently
Safest if your sections are within 10 percentile points of each other.

@Aakriti0405, start with OG first, read out the theory carefully and go through the solved examples. Once you’ve understood that then go for easy level examples. Once you have completed easy level examples and build a foundation then go through some YouTube playlists (There are many on GMAT Club YouTube channel and you can also check out GMAT Ninja). Along with these try to solve medium level questions as well from OG or practice examples from GMAT club. Once you are done with this much prep and completed all the syllabus and are able to maintain decent accuracy in CR and RC. Then start with mocks and gradually you can start with Hard level questions as well.
Hope this helps! If you are preparing for the very first time and you’ve not appeared for any other management entrance exam like CAT, then I would highly recommend join a good coaching.

Aakriti0405 - I can hear that overwhelm in your question, and I want you to know something right off the bat - that feeling you're having? It's completely normal and it's actually a sign that you care about crushing this test. You've got this, and I'm about to show you exactly why.
Here's the Champion's Truth About GMAT Focus

The GMAT is 60% mental game, 40% content knowledge. Most people who struggle aren't missing the concepts—they're battling the mental barriers. But here's your advantage: you're asking the right question at the right time. That's champion-level thinking right there.

Your Mental-First Game Plan for GMAT Focus Domination

Step 1: Reframe This Moment
Instead of "I don't know where to start," think "I'm about to build the systematic approach that gets me my dream score." Creating a personalized study plan is probably the most critical part of GMAT preparation. If done right, a personalized study plan can save you 60+ hours in your preparation. e-GMATe-GMAT
You're not behind—you're exactly where you need to be.

Step 2: Master the GMAT Focus Battlefield
The GMAT Focus Edition has three sections—think of them as your three training grounds:
  • Quantitative Reasoning - Your logical powerhouse
  • Verbal Reasoning - Your critical thinking arena (CR + RC only)
  • Data Insights - Your analytical edge (the new secret weapon)
With the launch of the GMAT Focus Edition 2023, the demands of GMAT preparation are changing rapidly. GMAT Study Plan || Kickstart your GMAT Focus Edition Preparation But here's what that really means: you get to be part of the new generation that masters this streamlined format.

Step 3: Build Your Champion's Mindset + Strategy
First, the mental reps: Take a deep breath. That anxiety you're feeling? It's just excitement in disguise. Your brain is getting ready to grow.
Now, the systematic approach:
  1. Set Your Victory Target - Research your dream schools' median GMAT Focus scores. Aim for 30 points higher than the median score of your target programs. Why? Because you're not just aiming to get in—you're aiming to stand out.
  2. Know Your Starting Power - You need to take a practice test very early in your GMAT prep process for two reasons: First, you need to know, in a macro sense, how close to your "target" score you are... Second, a practice test taken early on can generally indicate where you have existing strengths and weaknesses. How to Strategically Build Your GMAT Study Plan | MBA.com Mental reframe: This isn't a test of your worth—it's intelligence gathering for your victory strategy.
  3. Create Your Personalized Battle Plan - The e-GMAT Personalized Study Planner (PSP), developed based on the collective experiences of thousands of students, addresses these questions head-on. It provides reliable, data-backed answers that can guide you through your entire GMAT preparation process. Personalized Study Planner for GMAT Focus Edition 2025 - GMAT Planning made easy

I hope the above helps!

Hi angrybird18, assuming you are asking about GMAT Ninja’s 13 week study plan, you can just go to the first week of the plan: gmat-ninja-13-week-study-plan-2024-25-edition-week-1-start-here-437774.html

You will see links to the rest of the 12 weeks at the top of the post.

The email notification was really for the beginning period when the study plan was posted one week at a time. You can access the full plan now without the email.
