Hi everyone,
I'm writing this to ask for your wisdom to crush this GMAT exam within a month.
I had already tested the GMAT exams in 2020 and 2021 for MBA admission, but the score I got was not so good: 570.
Recently, I have been studying this again for my Ph.D. application.
My next exam will be on November 13th, which should be the last one in my life.
There are several points that I really want to tackle to improve my score in each section.
The latest exam date was October 7th and I got 620(Q49, V25, AWA6, IR4?) and my dream score is Q50, V35(Please do not mention the total score as I get really stressed when I think about the total score.)
<Verbal>
I, as a non-native speaker, had been struggling with this part for a long time, but after this 10/7 exam, I realized that I was too focused on simply answering
OG questions. Based on some information shared here in the GMAT club, CR Bible,
MGMAT SC, and
MGMAT RC are included as my main textbooks. Idiom lists from
Magoosh is also one of my studying materials. I was able to read all the SC parts, 1/3 of CR and none of RC, and then answered my past incorrect questions and several new questions in GMAC prep when I took the mock exams before my 10/7 exam. This new way worked, so there was progress. Now, I'm thinking of reading the rest of the CR and the whole RC and reviewing incorrect questions on
OG tightly. Besides reading those materials, is there anything that I really need to do to improve my V25 to V35? FYI, When I did my prep(Kaplan
Manhattan prep) untimed today, I was able to get V35 hopefully. Moreover, time management strategies (i.e. how to read fast or how to save my time etc) are all welcomed.
<Quant>
For the quant, I have been staying in the 49(I have got this score all the time), so don't know how to go to 50 or 51 in 3 weeks.(At least 50) I finished all the
OG questions, and even reviewed my error notes several times that I had made in 2020 and 2021. One bad habit is that when I am very tired of all my schoolwork, I tend not to think deeply when answering any advanced questions. That makes it a little hard to fully focus on GMAT studying sometimes. FYI, I'm working 10 hours per week as a graduate assistant and taking two MBA courses every week. Assignments from them take a significant amount of my time per week as well.
If you would be able to comment on my study plan, please don't hesitate to do so. I appreciate your help in advance!
