Hello everyone. I'd like some advice as to how to go about my studies in the next 7 days as i Have my gmat next Monday. My GMATPrep mocks scores are as follows:

1) GMATPrep1-660 Q 42 V 39(Given in September)
2)Prep1 repeat-710 Q 48 V 40 (2weeks back;3-4 questions in verbal were repeated. 1-2 in quant.)
3) GMATPrep3- 700 (1 week ago) Q 48 V38.

I wont be giving prep 5 and 6 as i rescheduled my exam from 22nd sept to Nov 6 and had used up those two for the 22nd sept one. I am now left with Prep 2 and Prep 4. Also, I really want to try to increase my verbal score from 38/39 to 40+. Is it possible in a week's time? I'm hitting an accuracy of 80-85% in RC and SC consistently. CR is what is causing my scores to drop(55-60% accuracy). So if anyone could give specific tips for that it'd be great. I'm trying to reach a 720. Please advise.

CR is quite mathematical. Since you only have a week left, you don't have time to look at any new books etc. Instead, I suggest you to check out our blog posts on CR here: https://www.veritasprep.com/blog/catego ... +reasoning

Also, take only 1 practice test in the last week and that too at least 4 days before your GMAT. Actually, I don't think a practice test taken at this time will add any value but in case you want to fine tune your time management etc skills, you can take one.

Well to be honest
With repeat prep test
Those 3-4 repeat questions totally change the game giving you confidence and changing the adaptive sclring
Also i had found yhe gmat prep 2&3 to be the easiest.

Well if you only have one week
Then i would say that you should firstly nail down quant as it is easier to improve on.
So practice some questions everyday.
And give 2-3 more mock tests in proper timed conditions with ir and awa
So that you get in the complete zone and nerves are no longer an issue.

Moreover
While your target score of 720 is not unachievable,
I would suggest you to gain more knowledge and consistency in your mocks first before expecting that score
Because the stress and pressure on examday is definitely diff than mocks.
having given 2 gmat exams in 2 weeks
680(q44,v40) and then 710(q43,v44)
Even though i was getting 730 in mocks
I know that its easy to screw up on exan day with a lack of practice and or concentration.
Check out my debrief if your interested
Might gain some insights

So to summarize
Give timed mocks
Practice everyday from official material.
Work on quant instead of verbal as verbal is harder to increase
Especially past v 40.

Cheers and good luck
