Hi atulkrishna10,

A 610 is a solid initial CAT score (the Average Score on the Official GMAT hovers around 550 most years). Assuming that you took this CAT/mock in a realistic fashion that matches-up with how you will take your Official GMAT, then a Goal of 700+ in the timeframe you describe is doable (although you willl have to be efficient with your studies going forward and focus on learning and honing some specific Quant and Verbal skills). Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on your timeline and your goals:

1) What study materials do you currently have access to? What “brand” of CAT/mock was this 1st one?
2) Are you planning to take the At-home GMAT or are you planning to take your GMAT at a Test Facility?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hi EMPOWERgmatRichC,
Thanks for your reply! Coming back to your questions
1) I have the GMAT OG 2021, GMAT OG Verbal and Quant Review, and the manhattan strategy guides.
2) I am planning to take the GMAT on-site at a facility
3) I am trying to make the Jan 1st week cutoff. I am applying to some master in Finance courses mainly in Europe. LBS, St Gallen, and HEC are some of my choices

Thanks!

Hi atulkrishna10,
The target score that u have mentioned is achievable with .Proper guidance
.Mentorship
.Study Materials and
.Regular Practice

with respect to resources and materials there are quite a lot of online platforms offering self-study materials and also several offline mediums too.

As u have already set a target score channelizing your preparation is easy with a structured plan.
On these lines when I started with my preparation I was skeptical on selecting the right platform for my prep. That's when I was introduced to TTP by one of my friend. He asked me to check their trail and I did go with it.
The TTP platform is well designed and meeting the needs of students irrespective of from which level they start their preparation.
Some key factors that are good and will help you with your preparation :
1. You can start the course by setting your target score -this automatically aligns the course material accordingly.
You can check this out by in putting different target scores, and accordingly, the period of the course reduces or increases.
2.The chapters are covered right from scratch , so this was a great help for beginners like me who had lost touch of basics .you basically don't have to digress or look out for other materials for brushing up .everything is at one place. This indirectly helps you stay focused.
3.Every topic is neatly structured with example problems which have video and textual explanations.
4. The chapter tests questions have been split into 3 levels of difficulty Easy, Medium and Hard.the accuracy is tracked based on your answers .best part after every test is that if you have performed well the platform highlights the same by mentioning the length of your answer streaks and the time you took answer every question based on other data. this in turn helps you gauge your understanding and how strong you are with a particular topic or type of problem.
5. The instructors from TTP also speak on the lines of how and why questions that run through our mind .this is simply amazing. Several videos are available and can also be found on forums .for test takers like us these videos surely do help in boosting our confidence.
They specifically speak on how to tackle the test, the right methods to go with your prep, last-minute challenges, etc.
That said I would strongly suggest you see for yourself and make an informed decision. You can check their trail for just $1.

--Cheers--
Sainath

Hi,
I am planning to take the GMAT somewhere around the end of November (approx 75 days). I took a mock test today after a rough practice of around 10 days and scored a 610(Q42 and V31). Any suggestion on how to start preparing to score a 700+? Any opinion would be highly appreciated !!

Hi atulkrishna10

75 days is a good period to improve your score to GMAT 700+ if you prepare in a structured manner with efforts guided in the right direction.

I have a few articles which you might find helpful. Please go through them to understand the right way to prepare for GMAT.

How to effectively plan your studies for GMAT

How to score 700+ on GMAT

The need of the hour (A personalized study plan):

The first thing to do is to create a proper study plan with clear deadlines. But a generic study plan will not help as you need a study plan according to your requirements.

You need a personalized study plan which takes into account the number of hours you can study in a day. Once you have a study plan, make sure to stick to that. Create a habit of studying everyday because consistency is the key. You can go through the recording below to understand the right way to create a study plan.

And I can definitely help you with the study strategy. GMAT is a test which focuses on application of concepts. So, you need to make sure that you learn not only the concepts but also their application. Please schedule a call with me using the link below so that I can guide you in a better way.
