You want to keep track of your mistakes somehow and also make sure you do all practice in a timed mode.

P.S. Yes, drop the OG until you get there in the MGMAT Books. No use in solving all those questions now.

Hi,

When I was originally going through OG, I was using the "Friendly Error Log by Saruba". But like I mentioned earlier, I did terrible with only two or three correct on PS & DS Diagnostic Test. Im assuming there is really no point of keeping that log as there are no idicators as almost everything was wrong?

When you say keep track of your mistakes, should I be recording my mistakes for the problem sets following each chapter in the MGMAT books starting with Number Properties?

Also, when you say do all practice in a timed mode, do you mean make sure I answer each and every Quantitative question within 2 minutes and each Verbal within 1.8 minutes? Including the problems sets at the end of each chapter following MGMAT books.

Thanks for your time and clarification!

Sincerely,
Adam B

I have just finished Part 1: General of MGMAT Number Properties. My plan is to now continue on to Part 2: Advanced. After finishing Number Properties I am planning on getting through the books in the order 'BB' suggested below. My test is November 19th, so 1 month away now. What are everyones thoughts? Does that plan sound okay, or should I stop with Number Propeties and throw in some Geometry? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Sincerely,
Adam B

I would say start with the MGMAT Guides and keep going as fast as you can.

Cover at minimum the MGMAT Number Properties, MGMAT Word Translations, MGMAT CR, MGMAT SC, and MGMAT RC

That should give you plenty of wind to get to 650 from 570.
These books will reference the OG, so the time will come for them.

That's it.

Nice, thanks for the response. You have a little more time, I'm sure you'll get there! As in BB study plan, you don't plan on even covering the Geometry book? I'm not sure why that worries me, 'BB' would definitely be the one to know...

I guess BB posted that since you have less time....So reading those books are must apart from that geometry is also imp.

As those concepts are tested more and they kinda create a strong base....I guess this is the reason BB suggested that.....

All the best

Should I be covering the advanced sections of these books with less than a month left? I am still on my first "Number Properties" book, about to finish the advanced material. Also wondering, should I attempt the advanced problems sets as well or instead? Thanks for the advice!

I dont think that covering advanced at this stage would be safe.....Rather stick with least + important topics and get a firm grip.
