Hi Everyone,
I just decided I will be applying for my MBA and have started preparing for the GMAT. I have started to follow 'bb's" GMAT Study Plan for GMAT Novices, but am now starting to feel lost as I do not have the same books talked about in that plan. A friend who took the GMAT a couple years back gave me: OG11, OG Quant, OG Verbal,
MGMAT 1-8 including Number Properties, Fractions Decimals & Percents, Equations Inequalities & VIC'S, Word Translations, Geometry, Critical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, & Sentence Correction. Does anyone have any recommendations of how to approach studying for the test with these guides and about 5 weeks to go?
I'm not sure if its possible, but I would really like to get in the mid to high 600's. Following "bb's" instruction I took the Practice Test 1 and scored a 34 Quantitative and 33 verbal without any studying or preperation, just going in blind. That was good enough for a 560, the average acceptance for the school I'm applying is not extremely high at 570. After that, I went through and tried to answer the Quantitative Diagnostic in OG 11 to figure out which areas needed most attention and it was a complete disaster, with only 2 or 3 right in each Problem Solving and Data Sufficiency areas.
Any help is much appreciated, if you suggest I should buy additional books like Kaplan Premier, OG12, or any others please let me know and I will definitely do so! Good luck to everyone else as well!
Sincerely,
Adam B
