There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
I have a quick question. I have about 2 weeks to study for my GMAT. I am not going for a top tier school. I am just aiming for 600+. I scored a 560 on Kaplan Diagnostic (2005 w/CD Rom) and I am working on my Quantitative because it was poor (below 35). Anyways, I was wondering if I should practice the math questions under timed conditions or not? Thanks for any responses.
P.S I have the Kaplan Math Workbook and the OG 10th Ed.
My general rule is that when you are just learning the concepts it is OK not to practice under timed conditions. After you have learned the concepts and are practicing for the actual test, I find it useful for students to do so under timed conditions.
