I suffer from double vision. I am really struggling to prepare for verbal section.
RC - need to read a lot
SC - need to read very carefully.
Verbal preparation puts lots of strain on my eyes and causes frequent headaches.
My first attempt score - 580(Q47, V28). Can I expect some leniency in scores while applying for colleges? I am from India.
Work Exp: 7 years.
Current Company: Qualcomm
Profile: VLSI HW profile
B.Tech College: Indian Institute of information Technology, Allahabad

Hello, akarshanarora. I hope you received accommodations (extra time) to take the exam. Otherwise, I would suggest collecting any related documentation to submit to GMAC™ for review so that you can be considered for accommodations to take the exam again. A 580 is a pretty low score, and belonging to an overrepresented demographic will not help your application. You may want to ask admissions consultants the same question in the appropriate forum, since your background information may give them a better idea of where you stand.
If you want to pursue business school, then put everything you have into the effort. Good luck with your journey.

Hi Andrew,
I understand 580 is a very low score. I don't expect to get into a good college with that score. I have trouble sitting infront of computer for more than 20mins in one stretch so extending time of the exam may not be helpful. I am working on this. I am just looking for some information about what could be an acceptable score to break into consideration for good colleges. I will check with the admission consultants. Thanks for the advice. Really appreciate it.
