I recently took GMATPrep tests, old version without IR, and scored 690 in both. Aiming for 700+ and need some guidance on how to improve further. Please find my spit up below along with the number of mistakes in each section.
Prep1 690 Q48 V37 CR - 5/11 RC - 1/13 SC - 6/17
Prep2 690 Q48 V35 CR - 3/11 RC - 2/13 SC - 7/17
Took both the tests with essays and 5 min breaks. During the second test, as soon as I started the verbal I had to leave my seat for 2/3 mins and that resulted in more mistakes in the first 10 questions

In the first test I was making mistakes in bold face, assumption and inference questions in CR. In the second test, I fixed the bold face and inference. But still I am not able to solve the assumption questions. Yes, I know its one of the topics where we can cross check with negation technique, but somehow I am not used to the negation technique. I have
MGMAT tests as well and scored 48 in quant but never crossed 32 in verbal. Almost 7 to 8 questions went wrong with RC, while am able to nail GMAT RCs

. CR performance was moderate similar to GMATPrep and SC was my best. Everything is opposite with verbal when it comes to Gmat Prep. So I stopped taking
MGMAT tests as of now.
Quant: How can I improve or go beyond 48+ ? ? I still make 4/5 mistakes, which includes careless ones and 'oh moron!! you could have done it easily' ones and the rest, I don't have a clue to solve it in 2 mins.
SC: GMAT SCs are far difficult compared to what I have faced in OG or
MGMAT tests. When I took
MGMAT tests I used to make less than 3 mistakes in SC and it was my best, while it is my worst considering my GMATPrep scores. So what can I do to improve it ?
CR: I don't think I have trouble in this. Still I make mistake when it comes to assumption and inference sometimes, will try to work on those.
RC: I was struggling a lot earlier, but got used to it nowadays and find it comfortable.
Now I am planning to take the actual test before the pattern changes, though I am least bothered about the changes and it will be interesting to solve IR than write the boring essay. I can finish off the essays in 40 mins and that gives me an advantage. I am not sure if same can be done with IR + 1 essay. Anyway taking it before the changes is wholly dependent on how consistent I am in my strong areas and how quick I improve my weak areas. Any suggestions or tips are very much appreciated.
