Just got 720 feeling ambiguous, test was easier than expected but because of bad strategy and less experience couldn't score more. Verbal 39, quant 49 (last question on quant unanswered and last 4-5 questions on verbal guessed ). Feeling incomplete knowing could score way higher, had good start in both but spent unnecesarily more time on some questions :(

720 is a very good score, and is in line with your GMATPrep scores.

Is there a reason you feel your score could hold you back?

Hi hooligan

Congrats on getting the GMAT out of the way(at least for now)
I feel that the GMAT score is in line with the target you had set for yourself.
Keep this score as is, and put a conscious effort regularly to improve
your grasp on the language. Read as much as you can(Scientific American/Economist etc.)
Keep in touch with the GMAT Quant and give the exam again before applying

You might want to read this post(with regard to improving reading)

Read debriefs of people who have scored 760+(Will help you in the journey for the next 30-40 points)

All the best with you MBA journey. Keep us posted!

RC is not my weakness, but SC. If I decide to retake I will improve that part, but should I retake? I know 720 is not enough for top schools but with 2 years of experience do I have any chance in top schools regardless GMAT score?

It's true that average GMAT scores at the top schools have been going up, but a 720 remains a very good score. Your score will not be what keeps you out (though it won't stand out at the top schools either). Work with admissions consultants (perhaps the ones here) and check whether they have a different opinion.
