Hi guys!

thank you so much for your kind replies and suggestions.

I will take CAT test on this weekend if I have the chance.
I don't know if i can be helpful to you but I took a test on The Economist Tutor (the free test at the end of the trial period).
I have to admit that I took the test at the end of a tough working day in the evening and without studying anything or almost anything. Ok, these are all excuses but I a bit ashamed of myself because I got 34 in quant and 25 in verbal, so a very low result.

At the first time it was a bit shocking but then I realized, thank also to you, that I need to find and keep a GMAT mindset. I also realized that lots of mistakes were due to a lack of focus, mostly in the Quant part.
As for the verbal part, I took it without any training and around 10.30 pm so I was not so lucid :(

So, EMPOWERgmatRichC, do you think I need to take also CAT test or the Economist may be sufficient?

Is it possible to striver for a 700 score even though my first test was so so so so catastrophic?

DmitryFarber, do you know an European website or shop which has your 6th edition? I would like to take the entire new set... otherwise, taking my quant score what book do you suggest to start with?

Thank you so much guys!!!

p.s: yes, GMAT preparation seems like a real second job :o

Hi Fede87,

You can use your Economist practice CAT score as a 'baseline', but from this point forward, you have to focus on the "reality" of Test Day. This means that you MUST take the ENTIRE CAT (including the Essay and IR sections), in a test-like environment, and at a time of day that is the same (or close to) that of your Official GMAT. There is no substitute for the information gained from taking a realistic CAT.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

I'm not sure about the European sales situation. As far as I know, you should be able to order directly from us for either ebooks or hard copies. You can email our Student Services team at gmat (at) manhattanprep (dot com).

And yes, GMAT prep is *exactly* like a second job. Except that for some of us, it's a first job. :-D
