I plan to do my
masters in the field of Business Analytics as it is a very demanding program.
I wish to apply for the
masters in quantitative management program offered by Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. To give a brief background about me I have done my
under-graduation in Business Administration (BBA) from a
top university in India. Currently I am studying for gmat and I have been
scoring around 660-680 range and I plan to get
on a 700+ in the real exam.I do plan to work post my gmat for atleast
a year. I am aiming for
Fall 2020 batch. Can anyone please tell me what should be my target score for this particular program and how many years should I minimum work for so I have a better chance to get into the program? Experts please help
Thank you
Hi
24ymk96Thanks for posting.
- The mid 80% GMAT range for the program is 640-750. At 660-80, you will not be out of contention, but you should ideally raise your score to 700+ as an Indian applicant.
- There is no minimum work requirement for the program. In fact, there is such a thing as too much experience for it, as Fuqua does not consider applicants with over 3 years of experience for this program.
- To be competitive for the program, focus on getting into a modeling/analytics role with companies like Mu Sigma, EXL, or Fractal. Alternatively, try and take up more data-related roles to show a good fit with the program at some alternative employer. Roles in marketing analytics with startups will also work well.
Hope this helps. Feel free to come back with more queries as needed.
