I would like to get an honest opinion regarding my competitiveness for the premier B-Schools (with respect to Top 20 in the world).
I did my undergrad in IT from a state ranked college in India and am currently pursuing an MBA in finance from a Top 15 ranked MBA college in the country (but un-ranked globally). I couldn't get into a finance internship and as a result am doing my operations from a $1.1 b conglomerate family business in India.
I am yet to sit for my full-time interviews but they would start in right earnest from Sep '19 onward. I would like to work in IBD of a BB firm. I might even decide to work for 2-3 years in a private bank in investment management in India and then decide to apply for a M7 MBA to get onto wall Street. My undergrad GPA is 7.22/10 and my approximate score for MBA I year is around 7.8/10.
I actually want to do my MBA again since I ( I respect my current school for the learning it has given me) I would like to study in a ranked MBA school and actually experience the change which it makes to your career. Also, I have studied MBA more from an Indian perspective and thus would want a more global perspective, aside from advancing in my career.
I would request you to kindly assess my profile and give some feedback.

Thank you for your post. While the number is small, it is most common that international applicants, in particular, seek a second MBA. I recently helped an applicant who already held an MBA successfully get into an M7. What we helped him emphasize was not only the strength of candidature but also why the second MBA matters as it relates to opening doors and providing new insights to take his career to the next level. For second MBA applicants, it is imperative that they have a clear professional goal and successfully weave their professional development with their professional aspirations. It matters that they clearly articulate, in detail, why the program is instrumental to their success.
