Q) Four times the first of three consecutive odd integers is 10 more than twice the third number .What is the sum of these number?
a)30 B)31 C)32 D)33 E)35

Solution

let the first three consecutive odd number be x,x+2,x+4

now 4(x)=10+(2(x+4))
we solve it for x
x=9

now the first three numbers becomes 9,11,13 sum of them is =33

IS THIS THE RIGHT WAY TO DO?
CAN WE USE FORMULA TO FIND SUM BECAUSE IF I TRY TO PUT
SUM OF INCLUSIVE INTEGER FORMULA ON THESE THREE NUMBERS
ANSWER IS DIFFERENT
