Hey everyone. I graduated from NCSU in the fall of 2013 - spent the next month after graduation studying for the GMAT and was able to get a 650. I was accepted into BC, NCSU, UVA and Wake. I ended up selecting UVA (really just wanted a short change of scenery after 22 years in central North Carolina) and interned at a local accounting firm in the Raleigh area from late January through late May.
I don't start at UVA until late August and don't move up to Charlottesville until August 15th. So essentially I've got 2+ months in Raleigh where I won't be taking classes or working. Anyone have any good recommendations on how I could begin CPA exam preparation?
The experience I got at the local firm I was working at was fine, but with it not being a larger firm I don't feel I got as much work experience as others that interned for a shorter time period, but at larger firms. I know a few people attending the NCSU MAC program so they can already begin taking a class or two this summer, but I just want to try and stay productive this summer MSA/CPA-wise.
Thanks for any help you could give me!
