I am an evening MBA student looking to get an internship for the summer of 2011. I missed most of the fall recruiting season at my campus for a number of reasons, however, I am still in search of an MBA for the summer. My concentration is in Supply Chain Management and I would like my internship to specialize in this field but at this time, I'm leaning towards just trying to receive any internshhip just so I can gain some experience.
Off campus internship searching hasn't been successful and I managed to get one interview for an internship from on campus recruiting during March (which I was passed up).
My school seems not to be as helpful for evening MBA's as it is for full time MBA's and I have a hard time receiving prompt replies when I ask questions or am notified late of what to do to be eligible for on campus recruiting. I just wanted to know if on campus recruting for interns last till mid-late April and if I don't earn an internship, what's the purpose of earning an MBA (in the near term) for a career switcher such as myself. I highly doubt companies would want to hire a career switcher with no experience regardless of if he/she has an MBA.
