IMO

We can list down like this:

a cows - b gallons - c days
=> a cows - b/c gallons - 1 days
=> a cows - b/c * e gallons - e days
=> 1 cow - b/c * e * 1/a gallons - e days
=> 1 cow - be/ac gallons - e days
=> d cows - be/ac * d gallons - e days

the answer is: bde/ac

Suppose that a cows give b gallons of milk in $ days. At this rate, how many gallons of milk will d cows give in e days?

(A) bde/(ac)

(B) ac/(bde)

(C) abde/c

(D) bcde/a

(E) abc/(de)

Bunuel, I think the variable C has got replaced by the $ symbol in this question.

(A) bde/(ac)

(B) ac/(bde)

(C) abde/c

(D) bcde/a

(E) abc/(de)

let r=rate of one cow per one day
a*r*c=b gallons→
r=b/ac
so total gallons=d*(b/ac)*e→
bde/ac
A

1 cow will give b/ac gallons of milk in one day.
So the answer is simply (b/ac)*d*e

Option (A).
