Suppose you flip two fair coins. What is the probability that you'll get a head on the first coin or the second coin?
I was reading a Maths Handbook, and it said that you can't apply the OR rule in this question. However, I think we can get 3/4 as answer. We have four possibilities: HT TH HH TT. As, the only possibility we don't want is TT, we can say the probability to get a head on the first coin or the second coin is 3/4.
