I'm in the process of getting for to take my GMAT and preparing to apply to MBA school. Would it be a good idea to switch jobs during this time?. I won't have to worry about my recommendators would like to know if this would be frowned upon when I apply? Please advise

tinman, it depends on what job profile you are switching to. If it ties with your long term goal, then it will be the best thing to do. It will bolster your essays and project your cause to the AdCom.

I switched jobs. I honestly don't think the ad coms can fault you if you make a job change. After all, admission is not guaranteed, and you have your own life and future if you don't go to b/school.
My recommenders were my immediate past supervisors from my previous job. There was no detrimental change in my relationship with him. Perhaps it was because I discussed my job change with him before actually making the switch as well as requesting him to be a recommender.
