Hello all,
I'm an international candidate and I'll be applying in the upcoming R1 for 2016 intake. My post-MBA goals are investment/asset management. I've also passed CFA Level 2. Although I have been doing freelance equity research for sometime (a lot of my work has been published online), I also started a small equity research firm about a year ago which caters to North American clients. Recently I got an offer to enter in the investment industry in my home country, but I'm not sure if I should take it or not. Post-MBA I would like to work in the U.S. with a reputable asset management firm for a few years at least. The path is equity research analyst to a portfolio manager.
My question is it is wise to switch job a few months before your application? I'm better off sticking to my current role and explain my post-MBA career goals without a job switch or a job-switch can actually add to my profile?
Thanks!
