Hi everyone,

I'm Jb, I live in France, and I'll take the TOEFL this saturday for the first time.
I'm so stressed about the idea to take this exam !

I have to reach 83 points to get my registration in UCLA next year.

Do you have some advice ? Some things to reassure me ?

Have a good day !
Thanks,
Jb

Hi mate,

don't stress out, as it is not the exam that might bring anxiety. GMAT is more stressing :)

what concerns the help, I believe this topic is the best resource that you can find:
https://gmatclub.com/forum/toefl-instru ... 46203.html

Preparation for GMAT helped me with Reading. Living in the US helped me with Listening and Speaking. Writing business emails helped me with the Writing. Nonetheless, the videos provide straightforward instructions for every single type of question on any TOEFL section. I followed the instructions and got 110 with minimal preparations.

Hi JbLed,

Did you take official tests? You can buy (or get in the local library) the official guides volume 1 and volume 2 in order to get 8 official tests. You will feel much more confident during the exam if you take these tests before the exam. Try doing speaking and writing parts as well. For the speaking section, record your answer, listen to it and compare to the sample versions provided by Notefull (the link to the instructional videos is in the above post)
If you get the score you want in practice tests, you should be fine on the test day.
Also, read through TOEFL debriefs - they contain very useful tips for the test day.

Hope this helps! Good luck!
