Thanks for your reply.
Really appreciated and understood about SC.

I am also not confident in RCs.
Apart from a few RC questions, most of them are like guesses.

Please help me out in devising a strategy for RC and cracking them.

Regards,
Varun

-- hi... For RC first learn argument structure in CR---background.. supporting statements... Facts... Sub-conclusion.. Conclusion and various structure forms. Then finish CR question types.
Then come to RC which explores the same concepts as in RC when it comes to method of answering a question. While CR talks about structure at a paragraph or so level, RC extends to many passages interlinked in a logical flow. Hence you need to understand overall structure (the big picture) as well and how individual paragraphs support and link to it.

RC QUESTIONS ARE BEST SOLVED BY ELIMINATION. INFACT VERBAL SECTION DOES NOT SUPPORT GUESSING. ELIMINATING IS EASIER THAN GUESSING

For RC theory simply stick to mgmat guide and nothing else.. Do it exhaustively and understand The theory and question solving techniques. It is the best resource available for theory and can be completed in very short time. Then practice from official guides ---- two (at least one) passages daily.. Without a break.

For CR also never give a break... At least 4 questions daily. Simple formula for success in these sections (in fact in all sections!). 8-)

KUDOS... IF THIS HELPS!!

dubsmagic - One thing that is working for you is your Quant score. A Q51 means that you are extremely analytical. Just apply the same analytical thinking on GMAT Verbal and you will do much better.

Lets take Sentence Correction - Ask yourself these questions: How do you approach SC? Is your approach grammar based or meaning and logic based? How much time do you spend on doing the process of elimination? How does that compare with the time you spend on analyzing choice A?

Quote:
Reading Comprehension
- Do you follow sound reading strategies while reading the passage. Do you pay attention to keywords, predict the chain of thought, try and infer the meaning of difficult words, and modulate your reading speed based on the density of the passage? Do you form paragraph summaries while reading the passage? If not then

1. Read this article on paragraph summaries. - paragraph-summaries-an-approach-to-main-point-134468.html

GMAT Verbal is very conquerable, especially for someone who as scored Q51. Below are a few examples of students who have done the same.
