i vaguely recall seeing that thread like 3 years ago when i joined this site :D im surprised and also not surprised by this - i like this scoring format because you essentially get a score based on the difficulty of the problems you get wrong instead of the # you get wrong.

thanks for wishing me luck. the middle 80% gmat scores for the school im trying to get into is from 530 to 668. my gmat prep score this morning got me pretty stoked. now to go over my wrong answers....

and i found an answer to how to fast track quant progress: YOU CAN'T. this is something that comes with time and absolutely diligent studying in which you absolutely go after any possible question in your mind about a particular area of geometry/algebra/etc. i can confidently say i was unable to do this. absorbtion of gmat-subject matter should have been done over a longer period of time at more managable intevals than staring into a book for 4 hours a night for 3 months.
