My approach-

On Monday, available opportunities= 5
On Tuesday, available opportunities= 3
On Wednesday, available opportunities= 4 (as no repetition allowed)

On Thursday, available opportunities= 6
On Friday, available opportunities= 14-4 = 10(as no repetition allowed)
So total number of ways = 5*3*4*6*10 = 3600

Talk show host Ralph has exactly 1 guest on his show everyday and his show airs every Monday through Friday. He always has Politicians on Mondays and Wednesdays and athletes on Thursdays and actors on Tuesdays but can have a guest of any one of these kinds on fridays. no guest appears more than once a week on his show. If he has 5 politicians, 3 actors and 6 athletes he could invite and if no politician is also an actor or an athlete and if no actor is also an athlete, how many different schedules of guests from monday thru friday could he create?

I don't have the options....... So I would like to see the working... Thanks!

there are 14 people.

Since we are looking at schedules, order is important

Number of ways to arrange politicians = 5P2 = 20
Number of ways to arrange actors = 3P1 = 3
Number of ways to arrange Athletes = 6P1 = 6
Number to arrange remaining 10 people in 10 places = 10

So all ways = 20 x 3 x 6 x 10 = 3600
