Hello, JohnCena20. Although I am not an admissions expert, I can speak from my experience as a tutor who has helped students in situations like yours. I agree 100 percent with Admissionado. Do not make any attempt to strong-arm Marshall into making an admissions decision. Any negotiating should occur once you have an offer in hand. This process is common. I had a client not too long ago who leveraged a scholarship offer from Fuqua to squeeze something better out of Tuck. And, as chance would have it, another member recently posted on negotiating better scholarship offers from Tuck and Booth.

Just sit back and see if you gain acceptance first. Good luck.

Hi, I'm an international applicant (not US/CA), so I'm considering both USA and Canada schools. I have already got an offer from Top 3 Canadian schools, but I know average Top Canadian schools have lower ranks than USA schools (even though the quality might not differ). More specifically Global No.80-100 compared to USC No.20-40.

Is it reasonable for me to present my Canadian offer and ask USC for a faster decision (or even impact their decision, as I don't think I performed interview well at USC)? Or even negotiate a better scholarship with USC (I have it from Canadian school)?

Hello JohnCena20,

Hope this finds you well.

Presenting your Canadian offer for a faster decision from Marshall is not recommended; however, you may definitely present it for seeking an additional scholarship.

Good luck!
