i am not native English , engineering back ground and i have only 4 weeks to take the exam. score must be above 630.
will keep you updated when it is done.

I disagree. It depends on how quickly you can learn stuff and what your exposure has been to GMAT-like questions.

I had about 3 weeks to prep (due to my own procrastination).

This isn't to suggest I didn't study hard. I was putting in at minimum like 2 hours a day with many full practice tests in between. I was only aiming for mid 600 and at the time an MBA wasn't the be all and end all goal in my life, so going in to the test I was pretty relaxed. I'm sure that helped.

That's okay, the message is really for ilaila that it is possible to do well with limited study time. It depends on how you use your time and how well you can spot the GMAT patterns and style. If I took the GMAT again right now I'd do awful; I didn't retain much of anything I learned because I learned it pretty much just to pass the GMAT. (The questions therein don't really apply much to actual real life situations with the exception to reading-comp; but I suppose if you're an engineer or something the quants would be pretty relevant. So to rephrase that, if you're looking to get into Business Management most of the GMAT material is immaterial).

Hi ilaila, if you're willing to put in the time everyday for a whole month, you can achieve a great score. Obviously, it depends on where your starting point is. Take a diagnostic exam and if your score ends up being only 380 for now, I'm sure it's going to be much harder to improve that to 630+ in 4 weeks. But if your score is 600, it's completely and undoubtedly possible for you to achieve over 630, maybe even over 700.

My suggestion is to squeeze a bit of quant as well. The quant section can be fairly tricky and it'll be hard to ignore some of these tricks if you have never seen these questions before. But since you know that your weakness lies in verbal, I'd spent the majority of your time in that section. For SC, definitely get MGMAT SC guide.

hey,
i'am a week away and after GMATprep tests my scores end up between 550 and 610 as expected verbal was too bad especially SC , Q should be OK between 44 to 49 but verbal 19 to 22
i tried different strategies for SC from ignoring them completely to trying to solve the first 3, and still getting no more than 3/15 SC right.
time is another factor i need to beat. i always had to rush either in Q or Verb around the 27th question.

i can afford to get a as low as 39 on Q but i have to left the verbal.

as you suggested i will use MGMAT SC and try the test later.
