I did enroll for TTP Quant Course and Egmat verbal course after reading all the reviews from Gmat club. Little did i know that TTP would be releasing their Verbal course for people who have enrolled for Maths course.
I just finished First part of TTP verbal course and i am loving it. The content, depth of the content and the pace of course is soo sooo good. I would ask you all to try it, and trust me you will love it too.
Egmat course is undoubtedly awesome but you cant control the pace of the course considering they have all video sessions.. I found it little boring and you need to have so much of patience to go through each video lesson..
With TTP, i found the content is equally good but you can control the pace and learn quickly(quickly with thorough analysis) most importantly if you are little impatient in nature to go through each video session, hear same thing again and again..
People who already have TTP maths course, try out verbal course. They have released beta version and its absolutely free.. you will love it. Let me now if you feel the same.
Consider tagging the topic as #TTP Verbal or something more like that, that way people will be able to find it when they search. More the tags, better the reach.
Also, writing a good sort of debrief helps.

Hi youtea.

I'm so glad to hear that the TTP Verbal course is working so well for you. We spent years creating it and believe that we have developed a resource that people can use to efficiently and very effectively prepare for GMAT verbal and, thus, hit whatever verbal score goals they want to hit.

As you noticed, the course is rather comprehensive and includes just the information that users need to master GMAT verbal.

Meanwhile, have you noticed how tricky the in-chapter questions are? We designed them so that, in order to answer them correctly, users HAVE to use the skills they will need for destroying GMAT verbal.

I would add that, to get best results from using the course, you should spend a fair amount of time analyzing each verbal practice question. GMAT verbal is different from GMAT quant, in that mastering verbal takes more development of vision and execution skills, and the way to learn to see what there is to see in questions and arrive at correct answers is to carefully analyze every choice of every practice question you see. So, take your time and get all there is to get from the practice questions.

Please keep us up to date. We want to hear about your GMAT verbal success to come!

Hi MartyTargetTestPrep,
Although i have not taken your course, i attempted TTP CR questions posted in this forum. I would definitely say that these questions are of good quality and few of the questions are as complex as we see in the real GMAT exam. As a suggestion, can we have the questions tagged with TTP as source so that we can select and attend these specific questions in the practice questions section.

The TTP Verbal Course is designed to get people to V51, if that's their goal.

So, I'm sure that even some people who are already at V45+ would find much of the SC material eye opening and find that the CR material makes things much clearer for them.

I can also say the following. I could score V51 before I knew everything in the TTP Verbal course, and still, having, in the course of creating the course, learned what's in the course, I see more of what's going on in questions, I see what's going on faster, and I handle questions more adeptly and with more confidence.

For someone at V40, the impact would be significantly greater.

Sure, for someone already at V40, not all of what's in the TTP Verbal Course would be new, but a lot of it would, and the additional clarity achieved through using the course, which includes not only comprehensive content but also questions packed with nuanced choices and traps and followed by in-depth, sophisticated explanations, could be game changing.

I'm so glad to hear that you like the questions!

Currently, since TTP Verbal is a new phenomenon, there is in the GMAT Club system no TTP tag for verbal questions. Once such a tag is created, any TTP Verbal questions posted could be tagged accordingly.

Interesting. How long until TTP Verbal is fully baked and the BETA tag comes off? I saw a post of yours somewhere else mentioning the RC section and how that and everything else would take a few months. August?

Or does it not really matter since 90 percent of everything is already done and in the beta. Also, should someone rush (if that is even possible) through the course or take their time with it?

August sounds about right as a time when RC will have been added. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't have all RC chapter tests up by August, but we'll see.

At the same time, the SC and CR courses are complete, and CR covers about 70 percent, or more, of what you need for RC. So, for someone who would be happy to be a bit creative about finding practice questions to complement the materials, the course is already a great way to master GMAT verbal, and we are adding chapter tests pretty quickly.

Regarding rushing or taking your time, taking your time is the way to go. You could quickly read and click your way through the course, but you would likely miss out on a lot of value that way. If you take your time to really think about what's being said and to analyze every exercise and every choice of every practice question, you'll learn way more and develop much more skill.

I think someone could rush through a quant course and learn a lot of what has to be learned, because quant can often be kind of a you know it or you don't kind of thing. For instance, if you don't know how to do combinations, you could see a combinations question and have virtually no clue regarding how to get to the answer. An few hours later, after learning about combinations, you might be able to quickly answer the one of the hardest combinations questions around.

Verbal is different. To master verbal, you have to develop skill over time. You have to first learn and really understand the concepts, and then you have to develop skill in applying them. Driving your GMAT verbal score higher is no joke.

I have already taken the TTP quant course, which is just exceptional. It has given me much needed confidence and clarity of concepts.

Recently, they have started Verbal course as well. It is still in beta. My experience from TTP quant course and shortcomings in verbal forced me to try their verbal course as well. I have gone through SC course and it is great. As a non native speaker, I have also struggled with the verbal part of the gmat. SC was a nightmare for me, but the detail that has been covered in the Verbal SC course is just great. It has helped me gain great level confidence through understanding of SC concepts. I have studied the manhattan sc book, which is also good but the TTP course is better. The content is very nice and it provides you with the opportunity to apply the concepts in the practice question they provide in the specific topic so that you have clear understanding.

The best part is that TTP is providing the verbal course at no additional cost, if you are already user of any of its course. I will be writing my GMAT in the next month, so keeping my fingers crossed!
