This is a very high quality question and few test takers can make errors while translating the statements into equations.
We must know little bit about Tug of War. Each team must pull the rope along with the members of opposition team to its side. As soon as the second mark on the rope from the center red mark crosses over to center line, the team to pull the rope to its area wins the game.

Solution
As per this question, three consecutive events take place. Below are the events and their respective results.

Event 1: Team X pulls team Y forward 3 meters
Result: Team T goes 3 meters away from center.

Event 2: Team X is pulled forward themselves 5 meters.
Result: Team X is now 2 meters (5-3 meters) ahead from the center.

Event 3: Team Y pulls team X forward 2 meters.
Result: Team X is now 4 meters (2+2 meters) ahead from the center.

Given that the first team that is pulled forward 10 meters loses.
After the 3 events, X is 4 meters ahead from the center. Hence, Team Y must pull Team X (10 - 4) meters = 6 meters more, in order to win the game.

Hence, the correct answer is Option C. 6
