Temple’s Fox School of Business’s online MBA program has lost it’s nationwide #1 ranking. The business school significantly overstated the number of new entrants for its 2016-2017 entering class who submitted GMAT scores. The incorrect data resulted in the school’s rank being higher than it otherwise would have been in the Best Online MBA Programs rankings. This comes just days after the program was ranked #1 in the country for the fourth year in a row.

The pith of the entire coverup statement from FOX -> We, the FOX MBA's admissions department, knowingly committed a fraud leading to our Unranked status.

Latest update on the Fox data fraud :- FOX SCHOOL PROMISES FULL COOPERATION TO IDENTIFY WHAT LOOKS LIKE A LONG TERM DATA FRAUD

Fox school of business has hired the outside law firm of Jones Day to conduct an unbiased overview of what the hell happened for the past 3 years in its Online MBA program.The review by Jones Day will look at previous years of reporting by the school to the US news, all under a shadow because the school had reported that 100% of its students submitted GMAT scores for the previous three years. It wouldn't be a surprise if the school lied about these for straight three years just to attract a bunch of new candidates and gain the number 1 spot in the Online MBA ranking by the US news.


Here is the email by Temple University President Richard M. Englert in light of the US news tossing the Fox school of Buisness out of its online MBA rankings :-

To the Fox School of Business community:

I have updated information for you regarding the Fox School and its U.S News & World Report rankings.

As you know, Fox recently identified a data error in its submission to U.S. News for the Online MBA. As a result, U.S. News reclassified the Online MBA as “unranked.”

Last week, I told you we would bring an outside, independent firm in to conduct a comprehensive review of the Fox School’s rankings data and processes. Jones Day, a global law firm with substantial experience in such reviews in higher education, has already begun its work. Dean Moshe Porat and the Fox School have pledged their full cooperation.

In light of the recently discovered issue with data for the online MBA program, and out of respect for the U.S. News rankings, the Fox School contacted the publication yesterday and asked to be withdrawn from consideration in the upcoming results for full-time and part-time MBA programs. I agree with this step.

As I said earlier, I believe strongly in the quality of every program we have at the Fox School of Business. The school’s talented faculty and dedicated staff provide the highest-quality teaching, research and personalized education to our students, and their commitment to Fox students has never wavered. Over its 100-year history, the Fox School has earned its reputation as a world-class business school with graduates who thrive in their careers and who give back to their communities.

Thank you for everything you do on behalf of our students at the Fox School. I expect to have an update for you on the progress at Fox later this spring.

Wait !
25% to 100% in a single year between 2013 and 2014? I mean common! Make no mistake this is a long term data fraud and Fox School of Business did nothing to identify this nonsense. I just hope someone has to pay for playing with the lives of innocent applicants.
#1 Online MBA program. Screw that!

Great news!
I am sure Temple university would fight this with all their might.
Could this be an honest mistake for three straight years?
Highly unlikely.

But if this is not an error/goof up, then these lying and disingenuous admissions officers should face consequences.
This has also raised a very important question in the online MBA realm :-
Can we trust the US news ranking for the Online MBA rankings?
What if some of the other school representatives misled the agency too?

Imagine thinking you are going to a #1 ranked school in the US on one day and and the waking up and realising that the Adcoms LIED about that and practically played with your dreams. Because dude, for an Online MBA program -> If you aren't going to a Top 5 or Top 10 school, then your MBA isn't that worthwhile to begin with.

Quick update ->
 After its Online MBA program, the Full time MBA at the Fox school of business is also in deep turmoil.
The school has bowed out of the US news rankings for the Full time MBA rankings too and the law firm of Jones Day will be investigating this matter thoroughly.

If I remember correctly, Fox saw a jump of 9 places in the US news rankings last year. This certainly brings that into question and raises some serious doubts on whether the data was manipulated for the last year as well.
