Congratulations!
Tepper and Anderson are peer schools though there are meaningful differences. The $40K scholarship makes Tepper more interesting of an offer. it also makes more sense with moving and not heading West and then moving back... also, I can tell you are unlikely to come back east after living in LA for a few years. You will be well-rooted and it is hard to switch back. Most people never leave to go back east (perhaps that's an indicator it is a much better place to live?
I would not jump to that conclusion right away but who knows - i have a feeling it is a combination of things). But the facts are facts - everyone finds jobs on the west coast and tends to stay there.
There are benefits to Tepper in terms of their on-campus recruiting options and opportunities.
Anderson has a great career resource center but it was often more of a coaching/networking place that connect you withy people rather than actually bringing employers who are intent on hiring an Anderson grad. They post jobs but the jobs are are not exclusive to Anderson so Marshall, Berkeley, etc folks apply for them as well.
At the same time, at Anderson you will be able to recruit into Amazing, MSFT, and other tech companies through their usual channels and tech trips up to Seattle and Bay Area.
I can see wanting to be a bit exotic and going down to LA. You won't have this opportunity to experiment and try things out and have some fun ... basically ever again in your life. I am being funny but it is true. If you take time off for a few months before you start your MBA, that will be the best and longest vacation you will ever take in your life until you retire (so at least 20-40 years from now and your health will be different). So while the opportunist and the wild spirit in me would favor Anderson, the practical person would likely be heading to Pittsburgh. Taking a trip in a time machine to my state of mind at the time of matriculating, I was definitely an opportunist. I am older now... I don't think it will be a mistake to go either way. The bigger mistake will be to have regrets.
