I’m hoping you’re putting in a bit more research and thinking into the program selection than me taking a few screenshots while hanging out with family 😇

I think you are going to get some advantages from Johnson such as a bigger program size and strong alum presents on the East Coast in New York. I don’t think Johnson sends a whole lot of people to the West Coast where tech jobs tend to be. I see only 15%, though that’s probably about the number of people that 10% an absolute numbers. Tepper since 25% of their class to the West Coast which is actually decent and potentially is argument against my tech recruiting statement. I’m not sure that you can argue that every job in the west is a tech job but you could make an argument that many of them are…

I think both programs are strong for consulting and I would probably guess both are about equal in Tech.

I can see arguing for Johnson because it has a bit of Ivy umbrella name and probably is going to be cheaper in a college town and may be ranked sometimes a little higher. At the same time I can argue for temper being in a city and easier to travel And perhaps easier to recruit without driving for five hours to New York City. However, both schools will prioritize consulting and finance and a smaller group will be focused on tech…

I don’t think you’ll make a mistake with either one. I think you could make an argument either way and the school impact will only probably account for 20% of your success. The other 80 will be chanson luck and circumstance and unknowns 😇

Thankyou for your insight. Can you give your views on which between the two is a stronger program in general and a stronger program for a career in PM?

I could be wrong, but I think Cornell allows you to attend classes at the NY campus with Tech MBA folks in the second year. That should also help with recruiting for Tech. Although Tepper is obviously good for Tech because of CMU, I personally feel Cornell is a more well-rounded MBA program
