Tepper$ vs Goizueta$$

Question

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to decide between Tepper with 10k per year vs Goizueta w/ 16k per year. Also, Tepper's tuition is 57k while Goizueta is 44k. So, Tepper will be ~47k per year and Goizueta will be ~28k.

I'm planning on going into management consulting. Please help! Any thoughts,opinions, or advice are much appreciated!

Well, they're both more or less regional schools -- would you rather be in the northeast/mid atlantic or in the south? Have you looked into placements? I'd guess Emory would recruit relatively well into Deloitte's Atlanta office, but you should check to see what companies recruit where and see if that aligns with your career goals.

And as always, visit for admit weekends if you can! Great way to get your questions answered and to assess your fit with the school and your future classmates.

Thanks for the input! Yes, I've looked into their placements but I do not have a strong preference for where I end up geographically post-mba.

As for the admit weekends, I'm going to try and do both but it will be difficult due to work. Also, Goizueta's deposit is due before Tepper's admit weekend, which obviously stinks :/

I think these two schools are peers no matter how you slice it (e.g., rankings, placement, brand). Emory seems to place slightly more students in consulting roles, but it's hard to say whether that is simply a function of more students wanting to go into consulting. Ultimately, you're decision will have to come down to fit (if, as you say, you are location-agnostic).

id save the 40k and go to emory if you dont mind the geography.. they place well for consulting and ive heard good things of atlanta. also, the school appears to be doing a lot to improve itself. it doesnt seem like anything is pulling you to tepper so why pay more and go to a similar ranked school in an inferior city
