Hey all,

I have got admit from all the following schools:

Notre Dame: $$$
Tepper: no scholarship

I am tech oriented and would like to work in the tech industry in the future. As per the cost is concerned, I will have to spend around 150k, spanning over two years, at Tepper and around 70k at Notre. My question is: Should I choose expenditure over school? I know that any day Tepper is better than Notre, but given the amount that I will have to spend to graduate from Tepper, is it still "that better"?

Thanks in advance :)

Congratulations on getting admits from Tepper and Mendoza. As far as placements in tech industry are concerned, Tepper is better than Mendoza, but a good percentage of Mendoza students get placed in the tech industry. You could actually talk to Tepper and see if you can get a scholarship. If you don't get one, then Mendoza would be a better option. Also try to talk to some alumni of Mendoza and find out what kind of jobs do Mendoza students get in the technology industry.

Good Luck!

That depends on the career you are planning.

Tough choice, Tepper is definitely better, but $80k is a lot of money. I'd probably go with Tepper, since Tech is its strength, but not an easy choice either way. Your 30's will probably be better if you go to ND (due to lower debt), but your 40's will probably be better in Tepper (Due to better career/salary long term).
